The Georg Fischer PROGEF Standard Type 586 pressure retaining valve maintains constant operating pressure, counteracts pressure pulsations, and reduces system pressure peaks in industrial PP-H piping systems. Manufactured from β-PP-H with union ends and SDR11 butt fusion spigots (d20–d63 / DN15–DN50), it operates via a spring-loaded piston mechanism that opens when inlet pressure exceeds the preset limit (adjustable 0.5–9.0 bar) and closes as pressure falls. Key features include a chemical-resistant PTFE/EPDM diaphragm, EPDM or FKM seals, a metal-free central union nut, molded flow direction arrows, integrated stainless steel mounting inserts, and dual-side manometer mounting options.
