The Georg Fischer type 130 reducing tee is an engineered malleable cast iron threaded fitting designed according to ISO/EN B1 specifications for branch distribution and directional flow diversion in commercial, industrial, and building service piping systems. Manufactured from high-grade decarburised annealed whiteheart malleable cast iron grade EN-GJMW-400-5, the fitting adheres to Design Symbol A under EN 10242 and ISO 49 standards, ensuring superior structural ductility, impact resistance, and long-term mechanical reliability without microstructural brittleness. Precision-machined parallel internal threads conforming to EN 10226-1 and ISO 7-1 (Rp jointing thread) establish robust, pressure-tight metal-to-metal joints when engaged with corresponding taper male pipe threads, sealing effectively across internal surface flanks with minimal application of sealant. The reducing tee enables streamlined hydraulic transitions between the primary run and smaller secondary distribution branches, accommodating pipeline layouts from 3/8 inch up to 4 inch nominal sizes without requiring intermediate bushings or multiple threaded joints. Available in both black protective finish and high-purity hot-dip galvanised zinc coating, the galvanised execution complies with European drinking water hygiene requirements, resisting internal corrosion and preventing deposit build-up across closed or open fluid circuits. Engineered for demanding thermal and hydraulic duties, the fitting withstands operating pressures of up to 25 bar across temperatures from -20 degrees Celsius to 120 degrees Celsius and remains certified up to 20 bar at elevated temperatures of 300 degrees Celsius for non-corrosive gases, compressed air, industrial cooling loops, and heating media. Integrated standardised z-dimension parameters allow exact prefabrication, precise centre-to-face measurements, and rapid alignment during system installation.
