The Georg Fischer 223 malleable iron side outlet tee is an engineered multi-branch distribution fitting manufactured in accordance with EN 10242 and ISO 49 design symbol Za2, designed to execute compact, three-dimensional piping junctions within demanding mechanical, utility, and industrial process systems. Featuring four precision-machined female connection ports across the through-run and two orthogonal branches, this fitting integrates an aligned linear passage with two independent 90-degree outlets oriented perpendicular to the main flow line and mutually perpendicular to each other, eliminating the requirement for complex multi-fitting assemblies in restricted spaces and manifold headers. Constructed exclusively from decarburised annealed whiteheart malleable cast iron grade EN-GJMW-400-5 conforming to EN 1562, the component combines superior core ductility with elevated tensile resistance, absorbing operational vibration, mechanical stress, and thermal expansion across rigorous duty cycles. All four connection ports feature precision parallel internal threads Rp conforming to EN 10226-1 and ISO 7-1, ensuring absolute pressure containment through taper-parallel thread engagement when jointed with standard R external pipe threads and approved thread sealing compound. The fitting provides robust pressure performance rated for maximum permissible working pressures of 25 bar across operating temperatures from -20 degrees to 120 degrees Celsius, and up to 20 bar at elevated temperatures reaching 300 degrees Celsius. Available either in black execution with a protective anti-rust preservation film or in a hot-dip galvanised finish utilizing high-purity zinc compliant with strict drinking water hygiene criteria, this fitting is individually factory tested for leak tightness and calibrated with standardised z-dimensions to streamline prefabrication and site assembly.
