The Georg Fischer 335 galvanized malleable iron flat seat union provides a detachable, robust connection engineered for industrial fluid networks, gas lines, heating systems, and potable water distribution. Manufactured from high-grade decarburized annealed whiteheart malleable cast iron conforming to EN-GJMW-400-5 in full accordance with EN 10242 Design Symbol A, the fitting comprises a three-piece assembly consisting of an externally threaded union bush, an internally threaded union end, and a heavy-duty union nut. The process connection integrates a taper external jointing thread R on one end and a parallel internal jointing thread Rp on the opposite end, both produced to EN 10226-1 and ISO 7-1 standards to ensure precise thread engagement, while the union nut utilizes an ISO 228-1 fastening thread (G) to drive axial clamping. Sealing is achieved across perpendicular flat seat faces engineered for use with a flat gasket, where the uniform axial load applied by tightening the union nut compresses the sealing surface without transferring torsional shear to the connected piping. This modular construction facilitates straightforward mechanical assembly and radial decoupling, allowing fast maintenance, inspection, and replacement of inline components such as valves, regulators, and meters without dismantling adjacent rigid pipe spools. Protected by a continuous hot-dip galvanized zinc coating, the union ensures exceptional corrosion resistance and hygienic safety suitable for drinking water installations. The fitting accommodates a maximum permissible working pressure of 25 bar for fluid temperatures ranging from -20 degrees to 120 degrees Celsius and maintains dependable operation up to 20 bar at temperatures reaching 300 degrees Celsius, while strict adherence to standard z-dimensions enables accurate pipe prefabrication and hassle-free alignment across demanding pipeline systems.
