The Georg Fischer PVC-C Ball Valve Type 546 Pro DA provides automated flow isolation and process control for demanding industrial piping systems. Configured with a double-acting PPA pneumatic actuator, this valve covers nominal dimensions from d16 mm to d110 mm with a PN10 pressure rating. Featuring threaded sockets to ISO Rp standards, the true-union body allows quick installation, disassembly, and servicing without disturbing existing pipework. Actuation is delivered by a compact PPA pneumatic actuator operating at 5.6 bar control pressure in double-acting (DA) mode. The housing is molded from glass-fiber reinforced polypropylene (PP-GF), providing outstanding corrosion resistance against aggressive chemical fumes. An integrated NAMUR VDI/VDE 3845 interface permits direct connection of solenoid pilot valves or positioners, while an optical indicator gives clear visual feedback of the open or closed position.

The valve body is manufactured from post-chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (PVC-C) in agate grey RAL 7038, offering high mechanical strength and temperature resistance up to 80 degrees Celsius under pressure. It provides dependable resistance against aggressive acids, alkalis, and salts. Smooth actuation and bubble-tight shutoff are ensured by PTFE ball seats combined with backing seals in EPDM or FKM to match chemical compatibility requirements.

Integrated stainless steel threaded inserts in the base enable secure bracket mounting without transferring mechanical stress to the piping. Identical z-dimensions ensure complete backward compatibility with previous generation Type 546 installations. The valve is suitable for chemical processing, water treatment, electroplating, and microelectronics lines where automated flow control is required.
