The Georg Fischer 90 degrees ABS metric to Rp adaptor elbow provides a reliable, robust transition between solvent-welded metric pipework and threaded equipment or instrumentation. Rated for a nominal pressure of PN10 (10 bar at 20°C), this adaptor fitting incorporates a metric solvent cement socket on one port and a parallel female Rp thread on the opposing outlet. Sized across dimensions from d20 - Rp 1/2" up to d63 - Rp 2", it establishes a secure structural connection across industrial cooling loops, chilled water circuits, water treatment installations, and potable drinking water networks.

The defining mechanical feature of this fitting is the external A2 stainless steel reinforcing ring placed over the female Rp socket. Threading metal or rigid plastic male fittings into thermoplastic components generates continuous hoop stress and radial expansion loads. The A2 stainless steel ring absorbs these mechanical stresses, protecting the ABS body from stress cracking, overtightening damage, and creep deformation. The metric plain end connects through cold chemical welding using Tangit ABS solvent cement and cleaner, yielding a leak-tight, permanent joint.

Manufactured from high-grade acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) in RAL 7001 gravel grey, the fitting delivers high ductility and exceptional impact resistance, even in sub-zero applications down to -40°C.
