The Georg Fischer ELGEF Plus PE100 monobloc tapping saddle with integrated Gas-Stop system is an engineered electrofusion fitting developed for safe, under-pressure live gas service connections. Operating across a pressure range of 0.2 to 5 bar (200 mbar to 5 bar), this high-performance fitting enables rapid, emission-free branch connections on polyethylene gas distribution pipelines without interrupting gas supply. The monobloc construction integrates an internal rotating cutter, eliminating the requirement for external drilling tools or auxiliary hot-tapping devices.

Factory pre-assembled with a certified Pipelife Type S (GS 32/200 UE) excess flow valve featuring an overflow orifice, the unit automatically shuts off downstream gas flow in the event of pipeline rupture or sudden damage, with a rated maximum flow rate of 750 l/min. Constructed from 100% virgin high-density polyethylene PE100 resin (RAL 9005 black), the saddle delivers exceptional mechanical strength, chemical resistance, and an estimated operational lifetime of 100 years. The threaded service cap incorporates an integrated elastomeric O-ring seal to guarantee permanent gas tightness.

Engineered with standard 4 mm connector pins and visible limited-path fusion indicators, the saddle ensures precise energy transfer and rapid visual quality verification during the electrofusion cycle. The extended spigot outlet enables direct joining via electrofusion couplers or butt fusion to service pipes. Pipe compatibility covers SDR 9 to 11 for d40–d50 mm mains and SDR 9 to 17.6 for d63 mm lines, available with DN32, DN40, and DN50 outlets. Fully certified according to EN 1555-3, DVGW, KIWA, ACS, and SVGW standards.
