Comprising three precisely manufactured components—an external thread union bush (figure 376), an external thread union end (figure 371), and a heavy-duty fastening union nut (figure 374) with thread G conforming to EN ISO 228-1—the fitting establishes an exceptionally reliable inline joint via an axial mechanical draw. Sealing is achieved across smooth flat mating surfaces designed to compress a dedicated flat sealing gasket tailored to the operational medium, with nominal gasket thickness already factored into overall assembly length dimensions. Both piping connection ends feature precision taper external pipe threads R in accordance with EN 10226-1 and ISO 7-1, guaranteeing dependable pressure tightness directly on the thread flanks when mated with compatible thread sealants. Manufactured from whiteheart decarburised annealed malleable cast iron EN-GJMW-400-5 in compliance with EN 1562 and Design Symbol A of EN 10242, the fitting exhibits outstanding tensile integrity, structural toughness, and thermal shock resistance. Available with a protective black surface coating or in a hot-dip galvanised execution featuring a highly adherent, high-purity zinc layer, it ensures long-term resistance against corrosion in aggressive environments. Rated for continuous duty across fluid temperatures ranging from -20 degrees Celsius up to 120 degrees Celsius at a maximum permissible working pressure of 25 bar, and accommodating up to 300 degrees Celsius at 20 bar, this flat seat union delivers high functional reliability across industrial liquid conveyance, cooling, compressed air, and gas distribution systems.
