The Georg Fischer malleable iron tee with crossover branch 87 galvanized 1/2" (code 770 087 204) provides an engineered piping solution designed to create a perpendicular branch line while simultaneously bypassing an intersecting pipeline without requiring complex multi-fitting bridge assemblies. Manufactured from premium decarburised whiteheart malleable cast iron grade EN-GJMW-400-5 in accordance with EN 10242 (design symbol A), this specialized component integrates a cast bypass arch featuring a crossover clearance diameter D of 1/2 inch and an offset distance m of 45 mm, enabling clean, coplanar pipeline crossings in tight distribution manifolds, parallel heating loops, and dual-pipe potable water installations. The fitting features standardized Rp 1/2" parallel female jointing threads conforming to EN 10226-1 and ISO 7-1, ensuring mechanical engagement and pressure-tight sealing along the thread flanks when mated with taper external male threads and appropriate jointing media. To deliver comprehensive corrosion protection in utility and domestic distribution systems, the fitting is finished with hot-dip galvanizing using high-purity zinc, rendering it fully compliant with hygienic drinking water regulations such as DIN 50930-6. Structurally robust and dimensionally accurate for streamlined prefabrication via the z-dimension method, the fitting specifies a face-to-center run dimension a of 26 mm, an overall branch reach a2 of 93 mm, and precise z-measures of z1 = 13 mm and z2 = 80 mm. The heavy-duty cast construction provides dependable performance across a broad operational envelope, reliably accommodating fluid service conditions from -20 up to 120 degrees Celsius at a maximum permissible working pressure of 25 bar, as well as elevated temperature duties up to 300 degrees Celsius at 20 bar in demanding building services and industrial distribution networks.
