Georg Fischer equal cross 180 fittings provide a robust four-way distribution intersection with identical nominal diameters across all connecting branches in heavy-duty industrial, utility, and building services piping systems. Manufactured from high-grade decarburised annealed whiteheart malleable cast iron EN-GJMW-400-5 in compliance with EN 10242 and ISO 49 Design Symbol A, the fitting body integrates four precision parallel internal Rp jointing threads specified under EN 10226-1 and ISO 7-1. When mated with external taper R pipe threads, the thread geometry enables deep engagement and metallic contact under controlled wrench torque, generating reliable mechanical compression and long-term pressure tightness supported by standard jointing compounds or tapes. Corrosion resistance is provided through an advanced hot-dip galvanising process utilizing high-purity zinc, establishing metallurgical iron-zinc diffusion layers topped with an even zinc barrier exceeding 500 g/m2 (approximate average layer thickness of 70 µm), rendering it fully compliant with hygienic drinking water standards pursuant to DIN 50930-6 and EN 12502-3. Suitable for transporting liquids, natural gas, compressed air, steam, and technical fluids, this component operates safely across a thermal envelope from -20 degrees Celsius to +120 degrees Celsius at working pressures up to 25 bar, retaining a pressure capability of 20 bar at temperatures up to 300 degrees Celsius. Every unit is individually factory-tested for leak-tight integrity, while precise face-to-center dimensions and standardized z-dimension metrics facilitate accurate prefabrication, orthogonal alignment, and straightforward pipeline installation across 1/4 inch through 4 inch pipeline segments.
