The Georg Fischer Fuseal swivel sink strainer adapter with gasket provides a direct, leak-tight chemical drainage connection between laboratory sink strainers and Fuseal corrosive waste piping systems. Engineered with a 1 1/2-inch spigot (SPG) outlet and a swivel female-threaded (FT) union collar, the fitting aligns smoothly with male-threaded sink tailpieces or strainer outlets to establish a rigid, chemically resistant transition. The assembly integrates a high-integrity fluorocarbon (FKM) elastomeric flat gasket that ensures an impenetrable face seal against hazardous liquid chemicals, acid vapors, and volatile compounds without requiring PTFE thread sealant tape or paste. Fabricated from flame-retardant polypropylene (PPFR), the adapter exhibits outstanding inertness against aggressive acids, bases, aqueous salt solutions, alcohols, and common laboratory solvents, eliminating risks of rust, pitting, electrolytic breakdown, and environmental stress degradation. Suitable for non-pressure gravity drainage as well as intermittent operating pressures up to 50 psi in fused networks or 35 psi in Fast-Lock mechanical joint assemblies, the unit reliably accommodates continuous process fluid temperatures up to 180 degrees Fahrenheit (82 degrees Celsius) and intermittent thermal shock discharges up to 212 degrees Fahrenheit (100 degrees Celsius). Integrated UV stabilizers and heat-resistant pigmentation allow trouble-free surface installation directly underneath work surfaces or within exposed laboratory cabinetry. The spigot end easily fuses into standard Fuseal electrofusion couplings or inserts into Fast-Lock mechanical joints, facilitating rapid, modular maintenance and stress-free sink servicing across academic, industrial, pharmaceutical, and healthcare corrosive waste environments.
