The Georg Fischer PROGEF Standard Type 305 line strainer is engineered for the mechanical filtration of solid impurities in industrial thermoplastic piping systems. Operating at nominal pressures up to PN10 (10 bar), this Y-pattern strainer provides essential protection for downstream centrifugal pumps, control valves, flow sensors, and instrumentation. Manufactured from isotactic polypropylene homopolymer (beta-PP-H), the unit demonstrates outstanding resistance against aggressive chemicals, inorganic salts, and basic solutions, operating reliably within a temperature range of 0 to 80 degrees C.

Filtration is accomplished via an internal polypropylene screen basket with a 0.5 mm perforation. This geometry catches solid particulates while optimizing fluid dynamics to minimize system pressure drop. Maintenance is simple and rapid: the threaded bonnet permits convenient extraction of the filter screen for cleaning or replacement without disconnecting the strainer body from the pipeline. System tightness is ensured by durable elastomeric seals, available in high-grade FKM or EPDM compounds depending on medium compatibility.

The unit features metric socket fusion connections covering dimensions from d20 mm to d63 mm (DN15 to DN50) and complies with EN 558 face-to-face installation lengths.
