Line strainer 305 PVC-C
The Georg Fischer line strainer type 305 PVC-C is engineered to protect sensitive downstream equipment such as valves, pumps, and measurement instrumentation from suspended particulate contamination and debris in industrial piping networks. Fabricated from chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (PVC-C), this unit provides exceptional resistance against elevated temperatures and aggressive chemical media commonly encountered in chemical processing and industrial water treatment. Built with an overall face-to-face length conforming to EN 558, the strainer features metric solvent cement spigot ends designed for direct solvent-welded jointing into compatible piping systems. The angled Y-body configuration directs the fluid path through an internal cylindrical filter element, ensuring effective separation of solid contaminants while maintaining streamlined flow dynamics. For routine maintenance and service intervals, the component is constructed with a threaded union nut and removable end cap that facilitate straightforward dismantling, allowing the internal filter element to be extracted, inspected, and thoroughly cleaned without disturbing the permanent pipe installation. Internal sealing integrity is maintained through durable elastomeric gaskets available in either EPDM or FKM configurations to match precise chemical resistance requirements. The strainer is rated for a nominal working pressure of PN10 bar across the full dimensional range from d20 (DN15) up to d63 (DN50). Compatible cylindrical screen inserts, including stainless steel mesh manufactured to AISI 316 (A4 quality) standards with 0.5 mm perforations as well as specialized thermoplastic screens, are selected and ordered separately to provide tailored micron retention for specific process conditions.
