The flanged ductile iron Y-strainer provides inline mechanical filtration for industrial process lines, municipal potable water networks, pumping stations and irrigation distribution systems. Rated for nominal pressures of PN10 and PN16, it captures suspended solids, debris, scale and gravel, protecting downstream control valves, pumps, flow meters and backflow preventers against mechanical damage and clogging.

The ductile iron body is built to standard face-to-face dimensions, with flange drilling to EN 1092-2 for 10 and 16 bar service. The angled filtration chamber keeps the hydraulic path smooth and holds the pressure drop low across the whole size range, and nine diameters from DN 50 to DN 300 allow the strainer to be matched directly to the line size without reducers. The internal basket is made from corrosion-resistant stainless steel mesh, giving consistent filtration accuracy, high rigidity under flow turbulence and extended service intervals.

Corrosion protection is an electrostatically applied powder epoxy coating of minimum 250 microns on internal and external surfaces, chemically resistant and suitable for drinking water duty. A bolted removable cover allows rapid extraction, inspection and cleaning of the screen, while the threaded drain plug on the cover permits complete drainage, blowdown of accumulated sediment and pressure relief before the chamber is opened. Working temperature runs from 0 degrees to 80 degrees Celsius. Install in horizontal pipelines with the filter pocket oriented downward, or in vertical pipelines with downward flow direction.
