Swivel Sink Strainer Adapter with Gasket (S x FT)

Swivel Sink Strainer Adapter with Gasket (S x FT)

Material: PP

  Datasheet (PDF)

The Georg Fischer Fuseal swivel sink strainer adapter with gasket (S x FT) 1 1/2" provides a dependable, chemically inert connection between fixture drain strainers and Fuseal polypropylene corrosive waste piping networks. Manufactured from flame-retardant polypropylene (PPFR), this specialized drainage fitting is purpose-engineered to handle aggressive industrial and laboratory chemical waste, resisting corrosive attacks from harsh alkalis, dilute mineral acids, alcohols, and typical organic solvents encountered in healthcare, university, and life science installations. The unit incorporates a 1 1/2-inch socket (S) on one end and a female threaded (FT) swivel collar fitted with an elastomeric FKM gasket on the opposing end, enabling direct, secure attachment to standard sink strainer assemblies. This swivel mechanism allows full positional adjustability during under-bench fixture tie-ins, while the resilient elastomeric gasket compresses uniformly to ensure a dependable liquid-tight and vapor-tight seal without demanding messy paste sealants. With an overall laying length L of 1.72 inches and an engagement dimension N of 0.44 inches, the adapter features an ultra-compact profile tailored specifically for restricted cabinetry envelopes and tight under-counter clearances. The socket receptacle supports dual joining methodology, seamlessly accepting standard Fuseal electrofusion locking collars (part number 527217) for welded homogeny or Fuseal Fast-Lock mechanical joint collars (part number 375 176 601) for tool-free, instantaneous dry assembly. Thermally resilient, the fitting operates continuously with corrosive chemical effluents up to 180 degrees Fahrenheit (82 degrees Celsius) and tolerates intermittent hot washdown surges up to 212 degrees Fahrenheit (100 degrees Celsius). Heat-stabilized pigmentation shields the assembly against ultraviolet exposure in above-ground spaces, preventing corrosion, electrolysis, and pitting across demanding industrial drainage service.
