Georg Fischer ecoFIT Type 305 PVC-U strainers are precision-engineered for integration into industrial polyethylene distribution networks, safeguarding downstream process equipment, pumps, flow measurement sensors, and regulating valves from mechanical debris and entrained particulate contamination. Built with an optimized internal flow geometry, the Y-pattern strainer configuration minimizes head loss across the filtration chamber while facilitating efficient capture of suspended solids. The unit incorporates a durable unplasticised polyvinyl chloride (PVC-U) filter housing coupled with extended PE100 SDR11 metric spigot ends, enabling seamless connection into PE pipelines via conventional butt fusion or infrared (IR Plus) welding compliant with DVS 2207 procedures. Designed for operational versatility across dimensions d25 to d63 mm (nominal sizes DN20 through DN50), the assembly maintains a continuous nominal pressure rating of PN10 (10 bar at a reference medium temperature of 20 degrees Celsius). System maintenance is streamlined through a threaded access mechanism that permits rapid dismantling, cleaning, and replacement of the internal screen cylinder without requiring complete dismounting of the valve body from the fused piping line. Sealing integrity is secured by high-performance elastomeric O-rings offered in EPDM or FKM grades to ensure tight containment across a wide range of aggressive chemicals, acids, bases, and treated water loops.
