The Georg Fischer equal 45 degrees malleable cast iron tee (Figure 165) provides a robust, flow-optimised threaded solution for dividing or merging piping runs at an oblique angle across dimensions from 1/2 inch to 2 inch. Manufactured from decarburised annealed whiteheart malleable cast iron grade EN-GJMW-400-5 in accordance with Design Symbol A, the fitting exhibits superior mechanical strength, structural integrity, and high deformation resistance under dynamic line vibrations and thermal cycles. Each connection features precision-machined parallel internal threads (Rp) conforming to EN 10226-1 and ISO 7-1, engineered to achieve a durable, pressure-tight seal on the thread mating surfaces when engaged with taper external threads and standard thread jointing compounds. The hot-dip galvanised surface treatment utilises high-purity raw zinc to form an adherent iron-zinc alloy layer shielded by an impermeable zinc coating, preventing rust formation and ensuring suitability for potable water services, compressed air networks, non-combustible gases, and industrial water systems. By introducing a 45 degrees deflection axis instead of a conventional 90 degrees branch, the component significantly mitigates pressure drops, hydraulic shock, and turbulence in pumped fluid systems. Engineered for arduous duty, the fitting delivers a maximum permissible working pressure of 25 bar across temperatures between -20 degrees Celsius and +120 degrees Celsius, maintaining certified operational reliability up to 20 bar at elevated service conditions of 300 degrees Celsius. The dimensional accuracy and defined fitting take-up geometry enable seamless integration into prefabricated and on-site assembled threaded pipework layouts requiring reliable angular branching.
