The GF Piping Systems ABS Type 145 wafer butterfly valve is an electrically actuated industrial valve engineered for automated flow isolation and control in demanding piping networks. Designed as an intermediate wafer unit, it mounts directly between standard pipeline flanges. Manufactured from high-grade Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS), this valve provides high impact strength at low temperatures and excellent chemical compatibility with chilled water, brine, and process fluids. The Type 145 assembly features a high-performance electric actuator housed in glass-fibre reinforced polypropylene (PP-GF). It operates on standard supply voltages of 24V AC/DC or 100-230V AC (50-60Hz) and includes an integrated internal heating element to prevent internal condensation during ambient temperature shifts. Factory-set for a 90 degrees operating angle, the actuator ensures reliable quarter-turn operation with position feedback (Open, Close, Middle) for automated monitoring.

Fitted with high-grade EPDM seals, the valve delivers bi-directional bubble-tight shut-off. Rated for nominal operating pressures up to PN10 (10 bar at 20 degrees Celsius), the range covers dimensions from DN50 (d63 mm) up to DN300 (d315 mm). Face-to-face dimensions comply with EN 558 and ISO 5752. The wafer body aligns between standard flanges according to EN 1092-1 PN10, ISO 7005, DIN 2501, and ANSI/ASME B16.5 Class 150, enabling stress-free installation.

Optimised for industrial cooling loops, water treatment facilities, and marine installations where metal components corrode, the ABS Type 145 guarantees low operating torque and maintenance-free operation. The smooth thermoplastic bore prevents incrustation and scaling, sustaining hydraulic performance across continuous duty cycles.
