The Blucast Series EXP flanged rubber expansion joint is a high-performance flexible connector engineered specifically for municipal drinking water supply, industrial utility networks, pumping stations, and neutral liquid transport systems. Operating reliably across a temperature range of 0°C to +80°C with a nominal pressure rating of PN16 (16 bar), this expansion joint delivers critical protection for rigid piping networks against thermal expansion, ground settlement, water hammer, and continuous mechanical vibrations generated by pumps, compressors, and rotating machinery.

Manufactured with a heavy-duty single-sphere elastomeric body composed of vulcanized EPDM rubber, the bellow is internally reinforced with a multi-ply synthetic nylon cord fabric and bounded by an integrated hard steel wire frame ring. This robust composite architecture allows the joint to absorb multi-directional pipeline movements without losing structural stability or cross-sectional geometry. Depending on nominal diameter (DN50 through DN300), the unit accommodates up to 25 mm of axial compression, up to 16 mm of axial elongation (stretch), substantial lateral offset, and angular deflection angles up to 15 degrees, drastically mitigating pipeline stresses on adjacent valves, meters, and pump casings.

End connections feature high-strength S235 structural steel backing flanges with a protective 30 μm hot/electro-galvanized zinc coating, ensuring long-term corrosion resistance in humid underground utility chambers and wet plant environments. The flange drilling pattern complies fully with EN 1092-2 PN10/PN16 standards, enabling direct, leak-tight integration into ductile iron, carbon steel, and flanged thermoplastic piping assemblies.
