The Georg Fischer COOL-FIT 4.0 Coupler PE100 SDR11 is a high-performance, factory pre-insulated electrofusion fitting designed for commercial and industrial refrigeration, process cooling, and chilled water distribution systems. Engineered for jointing pre-insulated PE100 SDR11 media pipes across dimensions from d32 mm to d250 mm, the coupler incorporates an integrated 3-in-1 structure featuring an internal PE100 carrier, high-efficiency closed-cell GF HE polyurethane insulation foam, and a robust, impact-resistant black outer jacket. Operating at a nominal system pressure of up to 16 bar and handling fluid media temperatures from minus 50 degrees Celsius to plus 60 degrees Celsius, it provides dependable conveying of chilled water, brine, and glycol cooling mixtures. Jointing is completed via electrofusion welding using integrated heating coils to deliver a fully homogeneous, leak-tight inner bond. Outer vapor tightness is achieved through an integrated sealing lip that forms an immediate, moisture-proof and vapor-tight barrier against ambient humidity without the use of glue, silicone, or heat-shrink sleeves. By extending continuous factory-grade insulation over the fusion zone, the coupler prevents thermal bridges, stops condensation buildup, and completely eliminates the risk of interstitial ice formation and corrosion associated with post-insulated metal systems. With an outstanding thermal conductivity as low as 0.022 to 0.026 W/mK at 20 degrees Celsius, the fitting reduces operational refrigeration energy loss by an average of 30%, ensuring maintenance-free performance across food storage, beverage manufacturing, pharmaceutical plants, and outdoor rooftop chiller circuits.
