The Georg Fischer SYGEF Standard check valve type 562 is an engineered non-return valve manufactured from high-grade polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), designed for dependable backflow prevention across demanding chemical processing, deionised water loops, and pharmaceutical purified water installations. Utilizing an internal spring-loaded mechanism fitted with a stainless steel 1.4310 spring and a double-guided, flow-optimized return cone, the valve delivers instantaneous bidirectional sealing and complete shut-off in the idle position, operating reliably without hydrostatic head and independent of horizontal or vertical mounting orientation. Its hydrodynamically contoured flow path minimizes turbulence and pressure drop, maintaining stable, vibration-free operation even during high flow velocity conditions. The true union construction with metric fusion sockets enables straightforward installation, radial dismantling, and rapid maintenance without cutting into existing pipework, sharing a compact installation length with type 546 ball valves to streamline plant layout and interchangeability. Integrated FKM elastomeric seals provide durable chemical resistance across aggressive acid transfer and industrial chemical distribution lines. Suitable for nominal working pressures up to PN16 within an extensive service temperature range from -20 degrees to 140 degrees Celsius, the unpigmented PVDF body complies with FDA 21 CFR 177.2510 and USP 25 Class VI physiological non-toxicity standards, fully supporting rigorous sanitisation methods including steam, hot water, ozone, and chemical cleaning cycles.
