The Georg Fischer PVC-C metric union is a heavy-duty, three-piece detachable fitting engineered for rigid process pipework in demanding industrial installations. Manufactured from post-chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (PVC-C) in agate grey RAL 7038, this precision component consists of a solvent cement union bush, a matching union end, and a heavy-duty threaded union nut. It establishes an interchangeable, demountable mechanical junction between pipe segments, enabling swift radial removal of inline equipment such as control valves, dosing pumps, and instrumentation without spreading or cutting the pipeline. Designed with smooth internal metric solvent cement sockets compliant with ISO 727 and ISO 15493 standards, it provides unobstructed flow across the entire dimension range from d16 up to d110 mm.

Engineered for high chemical resistance and thermal durability, the union incorporates an elastomeric O-ring seal seated within a precision groove to guarantee leak-tight sealing under operating pressures up to 16 bar at 20 degrees Celsius. The seal is available in industrial-grade EPDM for aqueous and general chemical duties, or fluoroelastomer (FKM) for concentrated acids and aggressive oxidising media.
