The Georg Fischer ABS Ball Valve Type 546 Pro is an industrial shut-off valve for demanding flow control in water treatment, industrial cooling, chilled water circuits, marine installations and drinking water systems. The ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) body and ball keep high impact strength at low temperatures and resist saline solutions, dilute acids and alkalis. BigWeld, an authorised Georg Fischer distributor, supplies the full Type 546 Pro range from d16 to d110 (DN10 to DN100) at PN10, 10 bar at 20 degrees C, with metric ISO solvent cement sockets for secure jointing.

As the technical successor to the classic Type 546, the 546 Pro retains full backward compatibility with first-generation union nuts and valve ends, so retrofits are completed without altering existing pipework. The ball runs on precision pure PTFE seats with resilient backing seals, giving bidirectional bubble-tight isolation and low operating torque over prolonged service cycles. An ergonomic hand lever with an integrated locking mechanism is standard equipment, protecting critical fluid lines against inadvertent or unauthorised operation.

Stainless steel threaded inserts integrated into the base of the valve body anchor the unit on pipe clips and brackets without transferring stress into the adjacent piping. The modular design allows direct mounting of Georg Fischer electric or pneumatic actuators and position feedback modules (LED, PNP, NPN, NAMUR) without depressurising the system. Flow coefficients run from kv 70 l/min at d16 up to 11000 l/min at d110.
