The Type 127 is an electrically actuated ABS ball valve from Georg Fischer (GF Piping Systems), driven by the EA15 actuator with a 24V supply in an IP68 housing. The valve is rated PN10 and is offered in seven solvent cement socket sizes, from d16 to d63 mm, so individual branches or complete process assemblies can be automated without changing jointing technique. Body and union nuts are ABS, the seals are EPDM, and the sockets follow metric ISO dimensions, bonding directly onto the grey ABS pipe and fitting programme.

On the control side the actuator leaves the factory with a 90 degrees travel range, so the ball swings between its end positions without further adjustment on site. A manual emergency override lets the valve be moved by hand during commissioning or on loss of supply voltage, an internal heating element keeps condensation out of the actuator housing in chilled water duty, and an Open/Close position feedback module reports both end positions back to the control system. The actuator housing is glass-fibre reinforced polypropylene (PP-GF), while stainless steel mounting inserts integrated in the valve body allow direct, rigid bracket fastening without loading the pipe run.

Typical duties follow the GF ABS programme: cooling and chilled water circuits, water treatment plant, marine installations and general industrial fluid control. Joints are made with ABS solvent cement and the matching cleaner/primer, giving a homogeneous connection with no metal in contact with the medium; within the same valve range FKM seals are available where EPDM is not compatible with the fluid.
