The Georg Fischer SYGEF Standard flange adaptor is an engineered butt fusion fitting manufactured from premium polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), designed for transitioning pipeline sections to flanged connections in demanding chemical and high-purity processing systems. Dimensioned across outer diameters from d20 mm up to d225 mm with an SDR21 standard dimension ratio and a nominal pressure rating of PN16 at 20 degrees Celsius, this metric component features a precision-machined serrated jointing face engineered to optimize seating stress and guarantee long-term leak tightness when paired with elastomeric profile gaskets and loose backing flanges. The unpigmented fluoropolymer construction provides exceptional resistance against aggressive media, including concentrated mineral acids, oxidizers, halogens, and industrial solvents, while maintaining superior mechanical integrity across an operating temperature span from -20 degrees Celsius to +140 degrees Celsius. Fabricated through precision injection moulding to ensure full material homogeneity and stress relief, the fitting exhibits an ultra-smooth internal surface finish with a roughness of Ra under 0.5 micrometres, suppressing bio-film adhesion and particulate entrapment in pharmaceutical purified water, deionised water, and ultrapure fluid loops. The fusion spigot geometry supports infrared (IR Plus), bead and crevice free (BCF Plus), and conventional butt fusion jointing methods according to DVS standards, delivering repeatable, high-integrity welds that preserve fluid purity and hydraulic efficiency throughout chemical distribution, semiconductor, and industrial utility installations subjected to hot water, steam, or ozone sanitisation protocols.
