The Georg Fischer Fuseal PP 45-degree reducing wye (S x S x S) provides high-integrity directional flow merging and line reduction in industrial DWV and corrosive chemical waste drainage networks. Engineered from polypropylene in both flame retardant (PPFR) and non-flame retardant (PPNFR) configurations, this large-diameter Fuseal LD fitting accommodates main runs and branch reductions spanning 8x8x3 inch up to 12x12x10 inch nominal diameters. Designed with a triple socket configuration, each hub utilizes Fuseal LD electrofusion loose coil joining technology, where electrical resistance heating creates an integrated homogeneous melt zone between the fitting socket and Schedule 40 or Schedule 80 polypropylene pipe ends to ensure permanent, leak-free joint integrity. The component delivers superior resistance against a broad spectrum of harsh chemistries, including aggressive alkalis, alcohols, solvents, mineral acids, and salt solutions, eliminating risks of electrochemical pitting, scaling, and electrolytic degradation commonly found in metallic systems. With a continuous working temperature tolerance up to 180 degrees Fahrenheit (82 degrees Celsius) and intermittent temperature resistance up to 212 degrees Fahrenheit (100 degrees Celsius), the reducing wye also supports pressurized DWV applications, vacuum drainage, and pumped discharge streams rated up to 50 psi.
