The Georg Fischer Fuseal Combo Wye & 1/8 Bend 90 degrees Reducing fitting is an engineered thermoplastic drainage component configured for directional transition and flow diversion in heavy-duty corrosive chemical waste piping systems. Designed for large-diameter lines spanning 8 inches to 12 inches with reduced branch entries, this precision-molded component combines a primary 45-degree wye pattern with an integrated 45-degree (1/8) bend. This swept architectural geometry creates a smooth 90-degree hydraulic trajectory that directs effluent into the main drainage header while mitigating fluid turbulence, minimizing dynamic backpressure, preventing flow restriction, and eliminating sedimentation pockets common in sharp standard tees. Manufactured from high-grade chemical-resistant polypropylene in flame-retardant (PPFR) and non-flame-retardant (PPNFR) compounds, the fitting delivers superior resistance to aggressive mineral acids, alkalis, solvents, alcohols, and salt solutions without susceptibility to scaling, rust, pitting, or electrolytic deterioration. The material is formulated with ultraviolet stabilizers and heat-stabilized pigmentation for extended service in above-ground installations as well as below-grade infrastructure. Built for demanding chemical DWV environments in life science laboratories, university research centers, industrial process facilities, and pharmaceutical processing plants, the unit reliably handles continuous process fluid temperatures up to 180 degrees Fahrenheit (82 degrees Celsius) with intermittent discharge capability reaching 212 degrees Fahrenheit (100 degrees Celsius). Featuring all-socket (S x S x S) fusion hubs, it interfaces seamlessly with Fuseal LD loose coil electrofusion joining systems to form a leak-free, permanent, homogeneous joint structure pressure rated for drainage applications up to 50 psi under pumped or vacuum conditions.
