The Type 038 lug butterfly valve with gearbox is an industrial isolation and control valve engineered for installation between companion flanges or dead-end terminal service across utility and processing piping systems. Manufactured with an EN 558 series 20 face-to-face length, the valve incorporates threaded lug lugs that permit secure mechanical bolting or straightforward downstream piping removal under pressure. Its robust GGG40 ductile iron body provides exceptional structural strength against pipeline stresses, protected by a corrosion-resistant Rilsan coating on sizes DN50 through DN300 and a high-build epoxy coating on large diameters from DN350 to DN600.

Internal components are designed for demanding fluids and frequent operating cycles. The valve is fitted with an uncoated 1.4408 stainless steel disc (AISI 316 equivalent), ensuring superior chemical durability, resistance to cavitation, and hydrodynamic flow with minimal head loss across the open bore. The valve stem is machined from 1.4021 stainless steel, engineered as a solid single-piece square shaft for sizes DN50 to DN300 and a robust two-piece keyed shaft configuration for DN350 through DN600, guaranteeing precise torque transfer and zero disc flutter under maximum differential pressure.

Rated for PN16 working pressure from DN50 to DN300 and PN10 from DN350 to DN600, the Type 038 fits PN6, PN10, PN16, and ANSI Class 125/150 bolt circles. The integrated DIN EN ISO 5211 top flange accommodates an enclosed manual worm gearbox, providing low-effort handwheel operation, gradual throttling, and full protection against hydraulic water hammer during closure. Supplied with interchangeable liners in EPDM, drinking-water approved EPDM/DVGW, oil-resistant NBR, or high-temperature FKM, this lug valve ensures bubble-tight bidirectional shut-off across diverse media and temperature conditions.
