The Blucast VBSS wafer butterfly valve is engineered for isolation and flow regulation in drinking water distribution networks, water treatment facilities, and industrial piping systems carrying neutral liquids. Manufactured with a compact wafer-style body configured for installation between flanges compliant with EN 1092-2 PN10 and PN16, the VBSS series provides reliable bi-directional shut-off up to a maximum operating pressure of 16 bar (PN16). Designed to handle medium operating temperatures from 0 degrees C up to 80 degrees C, this valve delivers 100 percent watertight sealing performance across commercial, municipal, and industrial fluid handling applications.

Structural integrity is provided by an EN-GJS-500-7 ductile iron valve body, engineered to absorb mechanical stresses and piping line vibrations without deformation. Sealing is accomplished through a resilient, high-grade EPDM liner seat that ensures tight shut-off while minimizing operational torque during actuation. The valve disc operates smoothly on a heavy-duty stainless steel stem, which is mechanically locked to prevent blow-out under operating pressures. Corrosion protection is delivered by an electrostatic powder epoxy coating applied to an average thickness of at least 250 micrometres in sky blue (RAL 5015). This protective barrier prevents internal tuberculation and shields external surfaces against aggressive soil conditions or humid plant environments.
