The double eccentric butterfly valve manufactured from ductile iron delivers dependable bidirectional shut-off and flow regulation in industrial, irrigation and utility piping systems. It is engineered for potable water distribution and neutral liquids from 0 to 80 degrees C, with flanged connections to EN 1092-2 in PN10 and PN16 across nominal diameters from DN 150 to DN 1200. The double offset shaft arrangement lifts the disc clear of the resilient seat within the first degrees of rotation, eliminating rubbing friction, lowering operating torque, preventing premature seat deformation and extending service life under continuous duty.

Body and disc are cast in EN-GJS-500-7 ductile iron, so the valve absorbs the high hydraulic stresses typical of large-diameter mains. The sealing assembly uses a heavy-duty EPDM profile clamped by a stainless steel retaining ring, giving 100% watertight closure in both flow directions. High-tensile stainless steel shafts rotate in low-friction, maintenance-free bearings. Every ductile iron surface is protected by powder epoxy coating applied to a minimum thickness of 250 µm in RAL 5015 sky blue, certified for drinking water contact.

A self-locking manual worm gearbox with mechanical position indicator ensures steady, controlled travel under differential pressure, while the ISO 5211 mounting flange accepts electric or pneumatic actuators.
