The Type 038 Lug-style metal butterfly valve is engineered with a single-acting pneumatic Fail-Safe to Close (FC) actuator for automated shut-off and emergency isolation. Built for demanding industrial piping systems and utilities, the valve automatically returns to the closed position upon air pressure failure. Its full-lug body with threaded holes enables secure flanged installation as well as safe dead-end and end-of-line service.

The valve body is cast from GGG40 ductile iron and finished with a protective Rilsan coating for exceptional resistance against external corrosion and mechanical impact. Process media contacts an uncoated 1.4408 stainless steel disc engineered for high structural strength, smooth flow dynamics, and low head loss. Torsional torque transfer from the actuator is ensured by a one-piece 1.4021 stainless steel stem with a precision square drive profile.

Designed to international standards, the assembly conforms to EN 558 series 20 face-to-face dimensions and features a standardized DIN EN ISO 5211 top interface for direct actuator integration. The threaded lug pattern provides multi-standard compatibility, mounting directly between PN6, PN10, and ANSI 125/150 counter-flanges across sizes from DN50 (63 mm) up to DN200 (315 mm).

The Type 038 delivers bi-directional bubble-tight shut-off rated up to 10 bar across the full size spectrum. Sealing versatility is provided through interchangeable liner options, including EPDM, EPDM/DVGW, FKM, and NBR to suit neutral liquids, potable water, chemicals, and oily media.
