The ABS Lug butterfly valve type 578 is engineered for flow isolation and throttling in industrial, cooling and water treatment piping networks. Designed to interface with ANSI/ASME B 16.5 Class 150 bolt circles, the lug body provides bidirectional shut-off and allows safe maintenance on either side of the pipeline.

Each lug hole incorporates stainless steel SS316 threaded inserts (UNC), so the valve can serve as an intermediate isolation valve or as an end-of-line terminal valve without a downstream counterflange at full nominal pressure. The housing is glass-fibre reinforced polypropylene (PP-GF30) and the disc is acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), combining structural rigidity with low operating weight and high chemical resistance. The valve is rated PN10 (10 bar) across sizes DN50 to DN300, covering pipe outside diameters d63 to d315 mm.

EPDM elastomer seals give bubble-tight shut-off and long service life in chilled water circuits, brine cooling loops, drinking water supplies, water treatment plants and marine industrial systems. Face-to-face dimensions conform to EN 558 series 20 and ISO 5752, so the valve exchanges dimensionally with existing units and retrofits into established plant layouts.

Actuation flexibility is central to the design. An integrated DIN/ISO 5211 mounting interface (flange pattern F07 on standard sizes) accepts hand levers with detent plates, reduction gearboxes with handwheels, or pneumatic and electric actuators directly, without bracket adaptors. The dual-stem construction keeps operating torque low, limits wear on moving components and supports optional limit switch boxes for position feedback in automated control loops.
