The Georg Fischer (GF Piping Systems) Type 145 electrically actuated ABS butterfly valve is an automated flow control solution designed for industrial piping networks. Operating on a 24V AC/DC power supply, this assembly combines a robust thermoplastic valve body with a glass-fibre reinforced polypropylene (PP-GF) actuator housing. Engineered for throttling and isolation, the valve covers nominal sizes from DN50 up to DN300 (metric diameters d63 mm to d315 mm). Depending on the dimension, the unit supports working pressures of PN10, PN6, or PN4 at 20 degrees Celsius.

Manufactured from impact-resistant acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), the valve body and disc exhibit outstanding durability and smooth hydraulic geometry. The wafer-style intermediate design features standardised face-to-face dimensions conforming to EN 558 and ISO 5752, enabling compact installation between backing flanges according to ISO, DIN, ANSI, and JIS standards. Robust EPDM profile seals guarantee dependable bubble-tight shut-off across the disc seat, preventing internal leakage in chilled water and secondary cooling loops.

The 24V electric drive delivers dependable 90 degrees rotary positioning with preset end stops. An integrated heating element prevents condensation during ambient temperature shifts, while an optical indicator provides immediate visual confirmation of disc status. Integrated auxiliary switches provide open, closed, and middle position feedback directly to process control systems. The drive also supports modular accessories, including fail-safe battery packs, position controllers, and Profibus DP communication boards.
