The Georg Fischer Waga wide-range PE restraint adaptor is an engineered fitting designed for tensile-resistant connections on polyethylene (PE80, PE100, PE100-RC) pipelines in potable water, wastewater, and gas distribution networks. Operating at a nominal working pressure of 16 bar (PN16), this mechanical fitting connects spigot pipe ends securely while compensating for ground movement and installation misalignment.

Constructed from high-grade ductile cast iron EN-GJS-450-10 (GGG 45 in accordance with EN 1563), the adaptor body offers exceptional structural integrity and tensile strength (minimum 450 N/mm²). External and internal corrosion protection is provided by a fusion-bonded Resicoat® RT 9000 R4 epoxy powder coating applied to a minimum thickness of 250 µm according to GSK quality guidelines. This coating ensures superior impact resistance, chemical stability across pH 2 to pH 13, and zero porosity under high dielectric testing.

The mechanical restraint mechanism utilizes high-grade AISI 316 (A4) stainless steel Uni/Fikser gripping teeth integrated into a durable carrier ring. These gripping teeth bite progressively into the pipe surface to resist high axial pull-out forces without compromising the wall integrity of the polyethylene pipe. Stainless steel fasteners are treated with a dry Lubo® anti-friction coating, eliminating thread galling and ensuring accurate torque-to-tension conversion during installation.
