The WAGA wide range bend restraint is an engineered ductile iron fitting designed for angular direction changes in pressurized water, wastewater, and gas distribution networks. Built on the MULTI/JOINT 3000 Plus system technology, this fitting provides tensile restraint and high mechanical stability across diverse pipe materials, including ductile iron, cast iron, carbon steel, PEHD (PE80, PE100, PE100-RC), PVC-U, and asbestos cement. With a nominal operating pressure rating of 16 bar (PN16), it offers a reliable, long-term joining solution for critical infrastructure projects, accommodating extensive outer diameter variations without requiring pipe end preparations or thrust blocks.

Manufactured from high-grade ductile iron EN-GJS-450-10 (GGG 45) conforming to EN 1563, the fitting exhibits minimum tensile strength of 450 N/mm² and elongation at break of at least 10%. Complete surface protection is ensured by a fusion-bonded Resicoat RT 9000 R4 epoxy powder coating applied at a minimum layer thickness of 250 µm in accordance with GSK guidelines. The coating delivers exceptional impact resistance, chemical durability across pH 2 to 13, and zero blistering in prolonged immersion, ensuring comprehensive corrosion prevention and full compliance with hygiene standards for potable water transport.

The restraint mechanism incorporates high-grade stainless steel AISI 316 (A4) Uni/Fikser gripping teeth embedded in polyoxymethylene (POM) wedge segments and polyamide (PA) topple segments. This progressive gripping design achieves secure pull-out resistance proportional to internal system pressure while preserving pipe wall integrity. The socket allows up to 8 degrees of angular deflection, compensating for ground movement and pipeline misalignment during installation. Stainless steel fasteners feature Lubo dry lubrication to prevent galling during torque-controlled tightening.
