Tank connector R PP PN10 1/2"–1 1/2"
Data Sheet | Product Range | Instructional Video
The industrial tank connector R PP is an engineered polypropylene fitting designed for secure, leak-tight wall penetration and process fluid connections in industrial storage vessels, buffer tanks, and chemical processing containers. Manufactured from high-grade stabilized polypropylene (PP), this tank adaptor provides mechanical rigidity and chemical resistance across demanding environments. Rated for a nominal operating pressure of 10 bar (PN10) at 20 degrees Celsius, it accommodates standard tank outlets from 1/2" up to 1 1/2".
Polypropylene provides chemical resistance against inorganic salts, diluted and concentrated acids, and alkaline solutions in accordance with ISO/TR 10358 guidelines. The material maintains high structural integrity without environmental stress cracking or galvanic corrosion, making it suitable for water treatment installations, chemical dosing setups, agricultural fertigation systems, and industrial fluid distribution networks. Its inert surface characteristics also make it compatible with treated potable water and process rinse water loops.
The fitting incorporates an external R taper male thread manufactured according to ISO 7-1 (EN 10226-1) standards, allowing connection to standard industrial threaded piping components, valves, and female fittings. The heavy-duty backing nut and robust body geometry ensure uniform compression across tank walls, preventing distortion and maintaining joint integrity under cyclic hydraulic pressure. Installation requires standard mechanical tools without thermal welding, facilitating fast assembly and maintenance on cylindrical or flat-walled thermoplastic tanks.
Engineered for reliable mechanical assembly in industrial fluid handling systems, this PP tank connector delivers dependable mechanical performance across ambient and elevated process temperatures. The fitting ensures complete dimensional stability, uniform sealing pressure, and full compatibility with polypropylene, PVC-U, and composite industrial pipework across modern process plants.
