Georg Fischer SYGEF Standard diaphragm valve type 514 is an engineered manual flow-control solution designed for high-purity fluid distribution and aggressive chemical processing across industrial piping networks. Manufactured from unpigmented polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), the valve delivers exceptional chemical resistance against harsh acids, halogens, and high-purity media, operating reliably across an extensive service temperature range from -20 degrees Celsius up to +140 degrees Celsius. Engineered with an advanced, flow-optimised body geometry, the type 514 achieves up to double the flow rate of predecessor designs, substantially reducing turbulence and system-wide pressure losses. The manual operating mechanism comprises an ergonomic handwheel equipped with a built-in locking mechanism that prevents inadvertent position drift and enables precise process throttling. Structural integrity and servicing speed are maximised through an innovative single central housing nut design that replaces four conventional body bolts, ensuring perfectly uniform sealing force over the PTFE/EPDM or PTFE/FKM diaphragm while eliminating metallic external components subject to corrosion. Designed with compact dimensions and a short overall installation length, the valve features integrated metric fusion sockets spanning d20 to d63 (DN15 to DN50) for permanent, high-integrity socket fusion jointing in accordance with DVS 2207-15 standards. Rated for nominal operating pressures up to PN10, the valve body incorporates threaded stainless steel mounting inserts for vibration-resistant pipe bracket fixation and offers modular upgradeability via self-adjusting multifunctional feedback modules with integrated limit switches. Conforming to stringent FDA CFR 21 177.2510, USP 25 Class VI, and ASME BPE standards, the valve ensures uncompromising purity and leak-free reliability in pharmaceutical purified water, deionised water, and harsh chemical delivery systems.
