The Georg Fischer SYGEF Standard Diaphragm Valve DIASTAR Ten FO is an engineered, pneumatically actuated valve developed for high-purity fluid handling and aggressive chemical processing in metric industrial networks from d20 to d63 mm (DN15 to DN50). Designed with a Fail Safe to Open (FO) pneumatic actuator, the valve utilizes an internal spring set that immediately moves the diaphragm into the fully open position upon pneumatic pressure loss, securing vital supply loops, cooling lines, or pressure relief circuits. The body construction incorporates high-purity PVDF paired with robust ECTFE metric spigots calibrated for SDR21 / PN10 systems, allowing seamless installation via non-contact infrared (IR) or standard butt fusion welding. Equipped with high-performance PTFE diaphragms supported by EPDM or FKM elastomeric backings and FKM seals, the assembly delivers chemical resistance against aggressive acids, solvents, and corrosive agents. An optimized internal flow geometry provides double the flow capacity of previous valve generations, significantly reducing localized pressure drop and turbulence across all operational duty cycles. System integration and plant maintenance are simplified by an innovative central housing union nut that eliminates traditional four-screw bonnets, enabling direct diaphragm inspection and fast actuator servicing without dismantling the valve body from the piping layout. For maximum mounting versatility within dense industrial skids, the actuator features a pneumatic control connection that rotates freely at 90-degree intervals, while integrated threaded mounting inserts on the underside ensure rigid structural alignment on pipe clips and support brackets.
