Georg Fischer SYGEF Standard Diaphragm Valve DIASTAR Ten FC provides engineered flow regulation and shut-off control across high-purity and aggressive chemical piping systems. Designed for metric pipe systems from d20 to d63 mm (DN15 to DN50), the valve operates via a pneumatic DIASTAR Ten actuator engineered with a fail-safe-to-close (FC) mechanism, securing process lines in the event of pilot air failure. Construction in pure polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) ensures superior resistance against aggressive acids, solvents, and deionized water across operating temperatures ranging from minus 20 degrees to plus 140 degrees Celsius. The valve body incorporates true union connections with butt fusion spigots compatible with conventional butt fusion, IR Plus infrared welding, and bead and crevice free (BCF) jointing, allowing effortless radial installation and maintenance. The optimized internal geometry delivers double the flow capacity compared to predecessor designs, significantly reducing hydraulic resistance and pressure drop across the seat. A robust central housing nut replaces traditional four-screw body fastenings, applying symmetrical radial compression over the sealing diaphragm—available in premium PTFE/EPDM or FKM—preventing external crevice corrosion and guaranteeing absolute leak tightness at operating pressures up to 10 bar. Actuation air supply lines are simplified through a flexible control air port that rotates in 90 degrees intervals to suit congested skid orientations.
