Georg Fischer SYGEF Standard DIASTAR Ten DA diaphragm valves provide high-precision flow regulation and dependable shut-off for demanding industrial distribution systems and high-purity chemical processing lines. Engineered with an unpigmented polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) body and pneumatic double-acting (DA) actuation, the valve operates reliably across medium service temperatures ranging from -20 degrees to 140 degrees Celsius at nominal system pressures up to 10 bar. The pneumatic actuator utilizes compressed air to drive both the opening and closing cycles, ensuring responsive, symmetrical positioning and active stroke control without reliance on spring assist. Integration is facilitated by metric butt fusion spigot ends joined via union nuts, allowing straightforward radial installation, alignment, and rapid dismounting without pipe spreading, while remaining fully compatible with conventional butt fusion, IR Plus infrared fusion, and BCF Plus bead-and-crevice-free jointing methods. Featuring an optimized flow geometry that doubles the flow coefficient compared to previous valve generations, the internal flow channel achieves kv-values reaching 1728 liters per minute at d63. Process media isolation is maintained by high-grade PTFE/EPDM or PTFE/FKM diaphragms backed by FKM union seals, ensuring non-contaminating chemical resistance against aggressive acids, solvents, and deionized water. Maintenance efficiency is enhanced by a single central housing nut that replaces traditional four-screw bonnet arrangements, paired with an air connection port capable of rotating at 90-degree intervals for flexible pneumatic hose routing in confined process skids.
