The Georg Fischer SYGEF Standard DIASTAR Ten pneumatic diaphragm valve combines an unpigmented polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) valve body with ethylene chlorotrifluoroethylene (ECTFE) butt fusion spigots to provide exceptional chemical resistance and reliable flow regulation in demanding industrial processing environments. Engineered with a double-acting (DA) pneumatic actuator, the valve utilizes compressed air to drive both opening and closing cycles, delivering rapid, positive positioning and stable throttling without relying on mechanical spring returns. A flow-optimized body geometry achieves double the flow rate of predecessor designs, significantly reducing overall pressure drop across the process line. Maintenance and service accessibility are enhanced through a central housing nut design that replaces four conventional body screws, ensuring balanced compression across the PTFE/EPDM diaphragm while enabling quick assembly and teardown. The pneumatic actuator is equipped with an integrated air connection capable of rotating at 90 degrees intervals, accommodating flexible pneumatic tubing orientation in compact piping layouts. With metric SDR21 butt fusion spigots manufactured from ECTFE, the valve integrates directly into fluoropolymer piping systems via infrared (IR) or conventional butt fusion jointing. Designed with true union connections for easy radial installation and servicing, this PN10 rated valve operates at system pressures up to 10 bar across nominal dimensions d20 to d63 mm (DN15 to DN50), making it an ideal control solution for aggressive chemical distribution, pharmaceutical-grade purified water, deionized water loops, and demanding sanitisation processes.
