The Georg Fischer SYGEF Plus DIASTAR Sixteen FC diaphragm valve is engineered for high-purity fluid handling in semiconductor fabrication, pharmaceutical water for injection (WFI), purified water (PW), and analytical deionized water loops. Manufactured from virgin high-purity polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF-HP), this pneumatically actuated valve operates on a fail-safe-to-close (FC) spring-return mechanism that provides dependable, bubble-tight shut-off. The zero-static T-pattern configuration and refined internal weir profile deliver double the flow rate of previous valve generations while eliminating stagnant areas and fluid entrapment at branch take-offs. A heavy-duty central housing nut replaces conventional multi-bolt bonnet assemblies, distributing clamping force evenly across the PTFE diaphragm and enabling rapid in-line inspection and maintenance without pipe strain. Designed for reliable service across an operating temperature range of -20 degrees to +140 degrees Celsius, the valve body and diaphragm materials exhibit extreme inertness and support repeated sanitization cycles using hot water, steam, or ozone. Each component is manufactured, cleaned with 18-megaohm ultrapure water, and double-bagged in certified cleanroom environments under ISO 14644-1 Class 5/7 conditions to surpass SEMI F57 purity standards. The valve complies with FDA 21 CFR 177.2510, USP 25 Class VI, ASME BPE, DIBt, and FM-4910 requirements. Equipped with metric SDR21 butt fusion spigots, it is fully compatible with IR Plus infrared fusion and BCF Plus bead-and-crevice-free fusion systems to guarantee uncompromised process purity and superior weld strength.
