The Georg Fischer SYGEF Plus Type 515 diaphragm valve d20-63mm is engineered from high-purity polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF-HP) to deliver exceptional flow performance, non-contaminating fluid control, and long-term chemical reliability across ultra-pure water (UPW, WFI) loops, microelectronics fabrication, and pharmaceutical processing. Designed with an optimized internal body geometry that provides up to double the flow rate of predecessor models while drastically minimizing dead leg volume, the valve features metric butt fusion spigots compliant with EN 558 face-to-face dimensions, facilitating seamless jointing via infrared (IR Plus) and bead-and-crevice-free (BCF Plus) fusion technologies. Operating through a robust manual handwheel with an integrated multi-position locking mechanism, the unit prevents accidental adjustment and ensures fine linear throttling control. Structural integrity is maximized by an innovative single central housing nut that replaces traditional four-screw bonnet connections, eliminating corrosion-prone external metal hardware, distributing uniform compression across the diaphragm, and simplifying field servicing. Outfitted with high-integrity PTFE/EPDM or PTFE/FKM diaphragms and white FKM internal sealing, the valve provides hermetic isolation between process media and external operating mechanisms across operating temperatures from -20 degrees Celsius to 140 degrees Celsius and nominal pressures up to 10 bar or 16 bar. Manufactured, cleaned with 18-megaohm pure water, inspected, and double-bagged under ISO Class 5 cleanroom conditions in accordance with SEMI F57, FDA 21 CFR, and USP Class VI requirements, this SYGEF Plus assembly maintains absolute media purity, full material traceability, and dependable containment in critical process pipework.
