The Georg Fischer SYGEF Plus DIASTAR TenPlus pneumatically actuated diaphragm valve is engineered from unpigmented high-purity polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF-HP) to deliver process control in semiconductor, life sciences, and high-purity chemical distribution systems. Designed with a Fail Safe to Close (FC) pneumatic actuation mechanism, the valve reliably handles working pressures from both flow directions across dimensions d20 to d63 mm (DN15 to DN50). Manufactured under cleanroom ISO Class 5 and Class 7 conditions and rinsed with 18 Megohm ultrapure water, the valve ensures minimal leachout of total organic carbon, anions, and metallic ions, meeting rigorous SEMI F57, FDA 21 CFR 177.2510, USP Class VI, and ASME BPE standards. The internal flow geometry provides double the flow rate compared to earlier generations, substantially decreasing pressure drop across the valve seat. Maintenance and installation are simplified through a single high-strength housing nut that replaces traditional four-screw bonnet assemblies, distributing tightening force uniformly across the diaphragm perimeter. For flexible installation in tight skid assemblies, the pneumatic actuator features an air supply connection that rotates at 90-degree intervals. The valve incorporates a high-purity PTFE diaphragm backed by an elastomer cushion, alongside white FKM O-ring seals, and is equipped with extended metric spigots suited for infrared (IR Plus) and bead-and-crevice-free (BCF Plus) butt fusion welding. Operating within a temperature range of -20 degrees Celsius to +140 degrees Celsius, this valve withstands rigorous sanitisation cycles including steam, hot DI water, ozone, and aggressive oxidizing media.
