The Georg Fischer SYGEF Plus DIASTAR Ten pneumatic diaphragm valve with double-acting (DA) actuator is an engineered flow-control solution designed for high-purity and ultrapure water (UPW) distribution as well as aggressive chemical handling across semiconductor, microelectronics, and pharmaceutical applications. Manufactured from virgin unpigmented polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF-HP), the valve integrates butt fusion spigots compatible with conventional butt fusion, IR Plus infrared fusion, and BCF Plus bead-and-crevice-free jointing across metric dimensions d20 to d63 mm (DN15 to DN50). Operating via a pneumatic double-acting mechanism requiring compressed air for both opening and closing strokes, the DIASTAR Ten delivers balanced actuator control, reliable process isolation, and a PN10 pressure rating for single-sided media shut-off. Its optimized internal flow geometry provides double the flow rate of predecessor designs, significantly decreasing system pressure loss and turbulence. Serviceability and cleanroom hygiene are enhanced by a central housing nut design that replaces four conventional body bolts, ensuring uniform diaphragm compression and rapid maintenance without corrosion risks. Featuring advanced PTFE/EPDM or PTFE/FKM diaphragm options with high-grade FKM internal seals and a 90-degree rotatable pneumatic control connection, the unit adapts seamlessly to tight process skids. Fabricated and double-bagged under ISO Class 5 cleanroom conditions using 18 megaohm ultrapure water cleaning, the assembly satisfies rigorous SEMI F57 purity benchmarks, FDA requirements, and USP Class VI physiological non-toxicity standards, while maintaining full stability under ozone sanitization, hot water disinfection, and steam sterilization cycles.
