The Georg Fischer ABS socket is an industrial-grade thermoplastic fitting engineered for solvent cement jointing in pressure piping systems. Manufactured from high-grade Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) in RAL 7001 gravel grey, this straight coupler provides a permanent, homogeneous connection between plain-ended pipes. The socket accommodates outer diameters from d20 up to d225 mm with nominal pressure ratings reaching PN16 at 20 degrees Celsius. Engineered specifically for demanding process environments, the fitting exhibits outstanding impact strength even at sub-zero operating temperatures down to minus 40 degrees Celsius, resisting mechanical stresses, vibration, and thermal fluctuations where traditional metallic or rigid plastics risk failure.

Solvent cement socket jointing creates a chemically fused, leak-tight bond that matches the mechanical integrity of the pipe wall.
