The Georg Fischer PVC-C Ball Valve 546 Pro PPA FC provides automated shut-off and flow control engineered specifically for aggressive industrial media. Powered by a corrosion-resistant glass-fiber reinforced polypropylene (PP-GF) pneumatic actuator configured as fail-safe-to-close (FC) at 5.6 bar control pressure, the assembly ensures process protection. In the event of a pneumatic air supply failure, calibrated internal spring packs return the valve instantly to the closed safety position. The housing features an integrated NAMUR interface according to VDI/VDE 3845 for direct accessory mounting, alongside a high-visibility optical position indicator.

Manufactured from high-grade chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (PVC-C) in agate grey RAL 7038, the valve body withstands operating temperatures up to 80 degrees Celsius under pressure, delivering outstanding chemical resistance against aggressive acids, alkalis, and saline solutions. The internal sealing system combines low-friction polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) ball seats with backing O-rings available in EPDM or FKM to match specific chemical conditions. The end connections are executed as metric ISO solvent cement spigots, ensuring dependable, leak-tight cold solvent welding into metric industrial piping networks.

Structural reliability during automated cycling is assured by integrated stainless steel threaded inserts in the valve base, facilitating rigid anchoring to mounting brackets without transferring operational torque to the pipework. The modular 546 Pro architecture preserves identical z-dimensions and connection geometry with first-generation Type 546 valves, enabling seamless drop-in replacements during plant maintenance and upgrades.
