The Georg Fischer PROGEF Standard DIASTAR Ten pneumatic diaphragm valve in fail-safe-to-open (FO) configuration is engineered for fluid handling in industrial processing, water treatment, and chemical distribution pipelines. Manufactured from high-grade beta-PP-H (polypropylene homopolymer), this valve ensures high chemical resistance and long-term hydrostatic strength across demanding media applications. The fail-safe-to-open pneumatic mechanism uses internal springs to keep the passage fully open during unpressurised conditions, ensuring continuous flow if pilot air pressure fails. Rated for operating pressures up to 10 bar, the valve combines accurate flow control with fail-safe operational reliability.

The valve body incorporates a true union design with metric socket fusion ends from d20 to d63 (DN15 to DN50). This configuration enables radial installation and rapid maintenance without moving surrounding pipe sections. Its optimized hydraulic geometry delivers up to double the flow capacity of previous diaphragm valve designs, substantially lowering pressure drop across the piping system. A glass-fibre reinforced polypropylene (PPGF) actuator housing encloses the pneumatic drive, protecting internal components against aggressive atmospheres and washdowns.

A central union nut replaces exposed metallic bolts, eliminating external corrosion risks in humid or chemical environments. The pilot air connection rotates at 90 degrees intervals for flexible tubing layout in tight industrial spaces. Compatible with EPDM and PTFE/EPDM diaphragms, the valve provides leak-tight isolation for pure water, chemicals, and abrasive slurries.
