The Georg Fischer (GF Piping Systems) PROGEF Standard DIASTAR Ten FO pneumatic diaphragm valve provides precise flow regulation and dependable shut-off across demanding chemical distribution, water treatment, and industrial piping installations. Manufactured with a high-grade beta-PP-H body and integral metric SDR11 butt fusion spigots covering outside diameters from d20 mm to d63 mm, this valve is engineered for seamless thermal jointing into standard polypropylene industrial pipelines. Operating under a Fail Safe to Open (FO) pneumatic mechanism powered by an internal spring assembly, the valve returns safely to the fully open state upon loss of pilot air pressure, safeguarding critical processes where continuous flow or complete system drain-down is mandatory.

Constructed with a glass-fibre reinforced polypropylene (PP-GF) actuator housing, the DIASTAR Ten series delivers outstanding chemical resistance against aggressive atmospheric environments and corrosive vapours. The innovative central housing union nut connection fastens the actuator directly to the valve body without exposed metallic body bolts, eliminating external fastener corrosion and ensuring uniform compression across the diaphragm sealing contour. Compared to legacy diaphragm designs, the optimized internal flow geometry delivers up to double the flow coefficient, substantially decreasing hydraulic pressure losses across the valve seat. Routine installation and maintenance are simplified through the rotatable pneumatic supply port, which can be repositioned in 90 degrees increments to accommodate compact pipe raceways and tight automation cabinets.

Rated for nominal working pressures up to 10 bar at 20 degrees Celsius, this valve accommodates either high-resilience EPDM or PTFE/EPDM composite diaphragms to handle aggressive acids, bases, demineralized water, and abrasive media. An integrated optical position indicator provides clear visual verification of open and closed status from any viewing angle.
