The Georg Fischer (GF Piping Systems) PROGEF Standard Type 562 spring check valve is produced in beta-PP-H, isotactic polypropylene homopolymer, for industrial piping that requires dependable protection against media backflow. It is rated PN10 (10 bar) and covers the metric sizes d75 (DN65), d90 (DN80) and d110 (DN100), supplied with PP-steel backing flanges and built to EN 558 face-to-face dimensions for direct integration into existing flanged sections.

An integrated 1.4310 (V2A) stainless steel closing spring provides positive, leak-tight shutoff without any hydrostatic head or reverse line pressure. The double-guided, hydrodynamically optimised return cone stabilises the flow, suppresses turbulence and eliminates chatter and mechanical vibration across the working velocity range. Because closing is spring-assisted, the valve is installed independently of orientation and performs equally well in horizontal runs and in vertical ascending lines.

The beta-PP-H body delivers high mechanical strength and long-term hydrostatic endurance, with resistance to acids, alkalis and inorganic salts and a nominal 25-year service life for water at 20 degrees C — suited to water and effluent treatment and to chemical process lines. The backing flanges are glass-fibre reinforced polypropylene (PP-GF30) with steel inserts, distributing bolt load evenly and seating the gasket uniformly, while the true union construction allows inspection and servicing without disturbing the adjacent pipework.
